Holy Crap, Karachi!

For the 3 people that actually get this blog in their feed, I haven’t written anything in a while, but I check in on my blog and looked at the nifty little map, and what do you know, someone in Karachi, Pakistan vistied my blog.  Was it an Al-Queda Sympathizer? A full blown Terrorist?  We know how they love the WordPress.  Either way, welcome single visitor from Pakistan.   I write nothing of consequence, but when I post I will try not to bore you.   Be sure to check out the cute pix of my kid.  They are posted in the sidebar courstey of my wife.

Wow, Japanarific!?

I think this just confirms that I have absolutely no point of reference when discussing Japanese culture, that and I can’t decide what is funnier, the competition as a whole, or that one of the competitors is named “Cobra.”  He better be careful around G.I. Joe.   Also it gives new meaning to “knowing is half the battle.”  For more Japan fun try here

I Love the Astronomy Picture of the Day website, good for some amazing pictures that I don’t have the opportunity to take myself.

Something Important

Lately I have found that a number of people around me (you know who you are) seem to miss the idea of the redeeming Grace of God and its saving finality.  That it really is Grace alone, and nothing more, that saves us from our wretched selves.  (Seriously, look it up, it’s so no one can boast about all the good stuff they did) This was brought all the more home by a funeral of someone I have know all my life and who cared for me when I was younger then my own son.  With that said there is no way that I could compete with the eulogy my brother wrote so I will let it speak for itself.  It’s here.

Old Post New Post Red Post Blue Post

•March 6, 2007 • 1 Comment

So on the harassment of my brother and his insistence that I post more often then monthly, Here is a new post.   I have not written much becasue I am busy writing a crappy novel on how a director turned historian turned submariner has come to earth to reveal our problems through underwater submarine footage and poorly written dialogue, oh yeah, and to rip off the DaVinci Code, which is in turn a ripoff of a book from the early 80s a book so inconsequential that I don’t remember its name, which in turn stole it’s “radical” ideas from 1st century Gnostics who were dismissed by the Apostle Paul himself.   So, after 2000 years we have come full circle–and if you cannot come up with an idea any newer then 2000 years do you really need a special on basic cable?  Just Asking.
